What is a CSA?

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) builds a relationship between
a farm, the consumer, and the farmer. CSA memberships directly support the
local economy and help to stop the globalization of food. By joining a CSA, you
become a farm shareholder, committed to a pre-purchased share in a season’s
harvest. Advanced share payments help cover seasonal start-up costs, such
as seed and equipment repair. Because vegetable variety and yield vary from
season to season, members share both the risks and the bounty with the farmer.
Shares are dropped off once a week, at a designated time & location.
Memberships support an independent, local farmer.

Runaway Farm offers a Summer & Winter CSA.
On occasion, we provide  special treats available for purchase at your CSA pick up.

Our Summer CSA

Summer offers a wide variety of seasonal veggies, from arugula to zucchini, and most letters
in between. You’ll enjoy fresh herbs, our bold salad mix and unique heirloom selections. We
offer healthy, chemical free produce available at an affordable price. Summer shares last 18
weeks, starting in June and ending in October. Full shares (approx. enough to feed family of
3-4) are available for $550 and half shares (feeds 1-2) available for $325.

Our Winter CSA

Extend your summer share! Winter gifts us amazing root vegetables and greens.
Special treats of canned or pickled produce have been prepared for you through-out
the summer, and await distribution. Our winter CSA runs for 4 weeks, October-November,
and costs $80.
