FAQ’s

Thanks you for visiting our FAQ Page.
We hope you find this page useful.  Please check back periodically for updates.

May I pay in installments?   Yes.  We require a deposit of $100, and will split the balance in
two payments.  We are flexible, and are willing to work with members who may need alternative
arrangements.

What if I skip a week?  If you know that you will be out of town and will miss a week, we recommend
donating your share to a friend, or family in need.  If you are running late, you can call our cell phone
and we will try and leave it for you at our drop off location.  Please note, all food left at location will be
thrown out after two days.  We are not able to reimburse anyone for a missed drop off, unless it is due
to an error on our part.

If my CSA drop off falls on Holiday?  If your CSA drop off falls on a Holiday, the drop off will
be at the same time and place the following day.  This happens most with our Providence location,
which is a Monday.  A post will be made on our site as a reminder to our members.

Farmers Market or CSA?  If your household typically eats a small amount of veggies, and tends
to stay in the basic tomato and cucumber selection, then we recommend visiting our local drop off
location.  If your household consumes a large amount of fresh produce and herbs, and likes to try new
things, then we recommend a CSA.  Our CSA offers a unique selection for the food geek, at a much greater
value then your grocer.

Do we use any non organic chemicals on our vegetables?  Absolutely not.  Food in intended
to nurture you!!  We use only use organic practices.

May I purchase extra?  Yes.  We do offer extra for sale, although some items will not be available
if it is in short supply.  Our specialty heirloom produce is usually reserved for CSA members only.

Are members required to work on the farm?  Nope.  Although we always welcome visitors,
especially those willing to work, no one is required to work on the farm.  We do host “work days” for
those who chose to volunteer, but they are not a CSA requirement.

Do you offer a work trade?  Yes.  If you would like to work on the farm in exchange for a food share,
please contact us and we can work something out.

May I bring my kids?  Please do!  They can play with our kids, pet the goats and learn!

May I bring my dog?  Sorry, no pets allowed on the farm.  Even the best behaved pets can disrupt
the farm animal…even the smallest dog can kill a chicken.

What can I do to help?  Bring us your compost!  We will gladly except your kitchen scraps.
Please be conscious of what you put in your compost, since it will be used to grow your food
and others!  No meat.
